Entertainment and Nightlife in Oslo

Oslo boasts with a great standard of nightlife opportunities. The favourite alcohol beverage here is beer; all the same, wine, whiskey and vodka are popular too. All of the venues will, however, ask for your ID to find out if you’re really over 18. Some places even require 23 years of age, though.

Located by the riverside, this extremely popular jazz club features regular live jazz and blues performances given both by local “amateur” musicians as well as hosting international artists.

The Scotsman

This red-hot venue, popular among both the locals and the tourists is crowded almost every evening. The basement restaurant serves many kinds of pizza and live music gives the place a “spicy” atmosphere.
